Another way to solve this is to look at the descending ratios... 4/5 > 5/8 > 8/17 > 17/44 > 44/?.... 125. Maybe only a solution to this problems circumstances

the series is 1,3,9,27,81 so finally it is 44+81=125

+1 +3 +9 +27

So the sequence on the third row
Is (2*3) to find the next term add 27+54+44=125
pattern of even and odd numbers the clue being that there is only one odd number in the answers
