Just figure out where each shape hasn't been yet: the triangle hasn't appeared in the middle bottom square, the star hasn't appeared in the bottom left corner square, and the circle hasn't appeared in the upper left corner square. The idea is that the matrix is complete when each shape has been inside each square.
Star moves clockwise in four-block group located in upper left corner. Triangle moves clockwise in four-block group located in upper left corner. Square moves clockwise in four-block group located in lower right corner. Circle moves clockwise in four-block group located inlower right corner.
To solve the puzzle, think of it like a Sudoku. Each shape (circle, star, triangle, etc.) must appear once in every row and column of the 3x3 grid. The correct answer is C because it provides the missing shapes needed to complete the grid pattern.
